Terms & Conditions – Mad Running Junkies

By entering our events, purchasing merchandise, or using our website (www.madrunningjunkies.com), you agree to the following terms.

1. About us

Mad Running Junkies is a trading name of Mad Running Junkies Ltd, registered in England & Wales 

2. Event entries

2.1 Entry fees are non-refundable except where we cancel the entire event.
2.2 You may transfer your entry to another runner or to a future Mad Running Junkies event up to 14 days before race day (a £5 admin fee may apply). After that date, no transfers or refunds are possible.
2.3 You must be at least 16 years old on race day for distances up to marathon; 18 years old for ultra-distance events (or have written parental consent). Minimum ages for each event are stated on the event page.
2.4 You confirm that you are physically fit and healthy enough to take part. We reserve the right to refuse or remove any participant who appears unfit or whose behaviour endangers themselves or others.
2.5 You accept that trail running carries inherent risks (uneven ground, weather, remote locations). You participate at your own risk and we are not liable for injury, loss, or damage except where caused by our negligence.

3. Event changes & cancellation

3.1 We reserve the right to alter routes, distances, start times, or cancel/postpone an event due to extreme weather, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond our control.
3.2 If we cancel an event entirely, you will receive a full refund or transfer to another event. No further compensation is payable.

4. Merchandise & online shop

4.1 All shop purchases are subject to our Shipping Policy and Returns & Refund Policy (above).
4.2 Prices include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices at any time before you place an order.

5. Behaviour & safety

5.1 You must follow instructions from marshals, medical staff, and race officials at all times.
5.2 Anti-social behaviour, littering, course-cutting, or bringing the sport into disrepute may result in disqualification and future entry bans.

6. Photography & publicity

6.1 Official photographers and videographers will be present. By entering you grant us an irrevocable licence to use images and video of you in future promotional material (website, social media, brochures).
6.2 If you object to a specific photo, contact us and we will remove or blur it promptly.

7. Data protection

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy (available on our website).

8. Liability

8.1 Our total liability to you is limited to the entry fee or purchase price you paid.
8.2 Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version displayed on our website at the time you enter or purchase is the version that applies to that transaction.
